Hello everyone,

I have started this fundraising for my dear friends Katarina, and her husband Curtis Hart, who is currently paralyzed after a bad fall on the black ice while walking his puppy in January. He was immediately airlifted to RWJ hospital and had two neck surgeries to repair the fractured vertebrae and stabilize the cervical spine.


After two weeks in the hospital and multiple serious complications, he was transferred to Kessler Institute for rehabilitation where he is currently working very hard in physical therapy to improve his condition. The Hart’s family need all your help to raise funds for mounting medical expenses, special equipments, and to modify the home to be handicapped accessible.

The goal is to raise:

$6,000 medical expenses (deductibles, copayments & out-of-network payments).

$12,000 special medical equipments (specialized air mattress for body positioning & mechanical lift for transfers).

$5000 home modifications (handicapped accessible bathroom and ramps for wheelchair access).

A little bit more about Curtis...

Curtis retired 4 years ago as a Deputy Chief of Police after 38 years of service. He was a flag football coach to the Plainsboro Package Team, baseball coach to Cheesequake Chiefs Baseball team that won many Championships throughout the years.

As a member and employee of Cruz Golf Country Club, Curtis’s biggest hobby is playing golf, he loves to play with his two sons, Robert and CR. His goal once he is able to play again is “shoot under 80!”
