Hi everyone! I have created this GoFundMe for a friend of mine. She is going through an incredibly difficult time right now. Please read her story below, share & support if you can.

STORY:

My name is Corinne Baum, and I was a Pre-K teacher. I absolutely loved being a teacher, I loved my students, and I would do anything to protect any child in my care.

Although I chose to share videos on my personal TikTok in my spare time, my posts had no connection to the school or my teaching methods.

A video I shared was taken by a right-wing group and released on a different major platform to a page where the majority disagreed with my views, and I was doxxed. This means that they uncovered all of my personal information and released it publicly online, and then hundreds of thousands of people were encouraged to call my place of work to get me fired.

They successfully got me terminated from my teaching position and didn't stop there. I received constant harassment to the extent of death threats. I had to change my phone number, it got so bad.

I feared for my physical safety. This has caused me and my family a fear and stress that l've never known.

I'm also fearful that getting work again will be difficult, and with my asthma, health insurance is essential. I will have to be on COBRA for the time being while I continue to go through the legal processes and l have already accrued some legal fees.

All I am asking for is some help to keep me on my feet while I navigate this situation that has completely turned my life upside down.
