Hi I’m Hayley, I am creating this gofundme for my 30 year old sister who has just been diagnosed with breast cancer.

In August 2025 she went to her GP to have a lump that she found on her left breast checked, she was blown off and told it was nothing, at the time the growth was only 1cm. Between then and February 2026 it has grown to an alarming 5cm, upon getting this further checked out, she has been diagnosed with breast cancer that now has a satellite tumour nearby that is 2cm, and lymph node involvement. Cody is going to have to endure a mastectomy, as well as chemotherapy. Cody has also been told she will need to collect and freeze eggs if she wishes to have children. Obviously at this stage we are not completely sure what her journey is going to look like, however we would like to support her to pay bills, rent and general living expenses while having to have time off of work.

We would also importantly like to take this opportunity to spread awareness that while everyone knows about breast cancer, it can absolutely happen to young women as well. If anything ever concerns you, DO NOT let a doctor tell you it is nothing. Cody is the 3rd family member who has been initially told their cancer was nothing. This has allowed cancers to spread further than necessary. This now also means that the treatment journey is now more complex.
