This fundraiser is for my father, Matthew Putman (aka Coach Putman), who whole-heartedly has dedicated decades to teaching and coaching. Earlier this year, he was diagnosed with colon cancer, and since February, our family has been by his side as he’s gone through treatments. Now, he is preparing for a major surgery on December 4th. Throughout his career, my father has influenced the lives of countless students and staff, always teaching with passion and dedication as well as always offering support, encouragement, and a listening ear. Many of his former students may not know about his current situation, so my siblings, mom, and I wanted to create this fundraiser to spread awareness and give his community a chance to give back.

The funds raised will go directly toward his medical bills, helping to ease the financial burden on our family during this difficult time. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a difference. But just as important are the kind words and encouragement from those who know him—your messages truly lift his spirits and remind him of the positive impact he’s had on so many lives.
