Help Support Coach John Kropke's Medical Expenses

Donation protected
Coach John Kropke, Defensive Line Coach for the University of Chicago Maroons, recently had a stroke, leaving him unable to speak and use the right side of his body. While doctors are hopeful these faculties will return, John remains in the hospital and will have many expenses as he rehabs back to full strength. Anyone who knows "Krop" knows he is not only a tough, resilient guy who will get through this but one of the kindest, most genuine guys you can be around. After playing professionally in the Canadian Football League (in which he won many accolades), Kropke returned to Chicago, spending the last ten years as a vital member of the Hyde Park community. Often seen riding a Divvy bike around campus or reading the news in Harper Library, Kropke provides a beacon of joy every day. As Coach has given players, staff, and students alike support throughout his time at UChicago, it feels only fitting to reciprocate this support in any way possible. Please consider donating, as these funds will go directly to John Kropke and his family as they navigate this challenging time. Also, please feel free to share this page with anyone who may have known John Kropke or anyone you think could help. We are keeping Coach in our prayers every day and appreciate all the support at this time.
