We are raising funds to support our dear coworker and friend, Claudine McGee — one of the most selfless, kind-hearted people you will ever meet. Claudine is the type of person who would give the very last of what she has to help someone else. As a devoted nurse, wife, mother, and grandmother, she has spent her life caring for others — always putting everyone else’s needs before her own.
Recently, Claudine has fallen on incredibly hard times. Her husband, Jim, who is in his 90s, has become gravely ill and can no longer care for himself or perform basic daily tasks. Claudine continues to work full-time while being his primary caregiver at home, but the cost of full-time care has become overwhelming. Despite her tireless efforts, she simply cannot afford the help she needs to keep Jim safe and comfortable.
On top of this, Claudine’s daughter, who lives in Portland, has been diagnosed with cancer and will be undergoing surgery on November 19th. Claudine wants more than anything to be there to help care for her daughter and young granddaughter during recovery — but she cannot leave Jim without proper care while she’s away.
To make this trip possible, Claudine needs to arrange a stay for Jim in a care facility. The minimum stay costs $6,800 for 21 days, with additional days at $350 per day. These expenses are far beyond what she can manage on her own.
We are asking for help not only to cover Jim’s care while Claudine is in Portland, but also to support continued in-home care after she returns, so Jim can remain safely in the home with the full-time assistance he needs.
Claudine has dedicated her life to serving others — her patients, her coworkers, her family, and her community. Now it’s our turn to come together for her. Every donation, no matter the size, will make a meaningful difference and help ease the heartbreaking burden she’s carrying.
Please consider donating or sharing this fundraiser to help Claudine find some relief, peace, and strength during this difficult time. Let’s show her the love and compassion she’s poured into us and others come back to her now when she needs it most. ❤️
