Family, friends, and lovers of reggae music,
Today we are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support for a man who has given so much of himself to others—Claude Sinclair, affectionately known as Big Stone in the Jamaican entertainment world.
For the past few weeks, Big Stone has been hospitalized and courageously fighting cancer. Sadly, the illness has now begun to spread throughout his body. He is in need of treatment that could provide him more time here with us, more time to share his wisdom, his kindness, and his unwavering love for his community.
Big Stone is no stranger to sacrifice. Over the years, he has stood by the side of several reggae greats—such as Junior Byles, Gully Bop, and Leroy Gibbon (who sadly passed earlier this year)—offering help without hesitation. Whether it was ensuring their families were taken care of or covering funeral arrangements when resources were scarce, Big Stone made the impossible possible. He gave freely, even when he himself had very little.
Now, this giant of generosity faces the unknown. Too often, we wait until someone is gone before we honour them with our kindness. But today, we have the chance to show Big Stone the same love and compassion he has shown to so many.
We are humbly asking for your donations, no matter the size. Every contribution, whether big or small, is a meaningful act of love. It will not only help cover the costs of his much-needed treatment in Jamaica, but it will also let Big Stone know that his community—the one he has lifted up time and time again—stands with him in this battle.
A single act of kindness can encourage the heart and remind someone that they are loved and appreciated. Let’s come together for Claude “Big Stone” Sinclair and give back to a man who has given so much.
Thank you for your generosity, your prayers, and your love.
