Clark was born on November 6, 2023, after a difficult delivery that led to a long hospital stay and oxygen support. As his lungs healed, he began meeting his milestones and growing into a happy little boy.
But at around four months old, his development slowed, and by eight months he began to regress. He lost the ability to hold his head up, feed properly, and use his hands.
After two years of hospital stays, MRIs, EEGs, genetic testing, and countless appointments, Clark was diagnosed with Menkes Adjacent, a rare and incurable degenerative disorder that prevents the body from absorbing copper. Children with this condition often have a very limited life expectancy.
Today, Clark is tube-fed, requires twice-daily injections, and cannot sit, stand, speak, or roll. Despite this, he still smiles, laughs, recognises his family, and loves watching bubbles and colours. He has also welcomed a new baby brother, Erik.
Why We Need Help
Clark’s needs are growing, and so are the costs. NDIS covers some equipment, but many essentials do not qualify or must be upgraded often, including:
• A specialised reclining car seat (~$15,000, currently only hired)
• Supportive seating, standing frames, and sleep systems
• Constant therapy and medical travel
• Home equipment to keep him safe and comfortable
His parents are doing everything they can while running a small business, but the financial and emotional load is overwhelming.
How Your Support Helps
Your donation will give Clark safe equipment, essential therapies, and the chance to make precious memories with his family in the time they have.
Thank you for helping Clark live with comfort, dignity, and love.
