Help Support Claire & Owen in Memory of Jessica Bourgeois

Donation protected
On December 5, 2025, Jessica Bourgeois, age 44, passed away unexpectedly. Jess was a devoted mother, a cherished friend, and a bright light to everyone who knew her.
Originally from Brantford, Ontario, Jess moved to St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2021. Her children, Claire (16) and Owen (25), were the absolute center of her world. Everything she did was motivated by her deep love for them and her desire to give them the best life possible.
Jess was known for her sense of humor, beautiful smile, and contagious laugh. She had a heart of gold and a strong commitment to helping others, which was evident through her volunteer work with the Lions Club in St. John’s, NL.

Jess also faced mental health challenges, and in honoring her memory, we hope to continue the important conversation around compassion, support, and understanding.

This fundraiser has been created to help support Claire and Owen as they navigate this incredibly difficult time and adjust to life without their mom.

Funds raised will help provide stability and care for Claire and Owen by assisting with funeral expenses, essential living expenses, education-related needs, and ongoing support during this period of profound change. These funds are intended to ease immediate financial pressures and help both children move forward in a way that would make their mom proud.
Jess has been cremated and returned to her hometown in Ontario.

A Celebration of Life will be held on January 3, 2026, from 3:30–5:30 PM at the Lions Club, 139 Mayor Avenue, St. John’s, NL. and also
Saturday, January 3, 2026- 2 to 5pm at 55 Charing Cross St, Brantford Reception Suites at Toll Funeral Home

The outpouring of love and support from family, friends, and the community has been overwhelming and deeply appreciated.

Any contribution—no matter the size—will make a meaningful difference.

Thank you for your kindness, compassion, and support during this difficult time.

“You are not alone. You are loved. Don’t be afraid to ask for help or accept it when offered. There are always brighter days ahead.”
