My sister, Cindy Cogar, was diagnosed with colorectal cancer in December 2024. She is a single Nana raising her young teenage granddaughter. Since starting chemo and preparing for surgery, the medical bills and prescription costs have begun to pile up even with her healthcare coverage, along with normal monthly bills. Before her coverage even begins to pay, she has a large deductible to meet and then 20% of the remaining charges after, as well as minimum hospital stay charges. The chemo has been hard, to say the least. It has caused sickness, pain, and several missed days of work, which has resulted in loss of pay.
When she does have surgery (hopefully this month), she will be off work for a minimum of 10-12 weeks. And her short-term disability will not kick in immediately, and bills will still be due.
We are currently in the process of trying to sell the home she is in, downsize, and make life more manageable both physically and financially.

Thank you all so very much! And God Bless
During her journey, I will be assisting in making sure things are taken care of with the use of this account to help carry some of the burden…
