My name is Gwen and I have been best friends with Cindy for 39 years.

In July 2023, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. After medical testing, it was determined that she was positive for the CHEK2 gene mutation. Treatment was a bilateral mastectomy, which occurred in August 2023. Unfortunately, her reconstructive surgery wasn’t able to be scheduled until January 2024 which meant a new deductible and copays to pay.

Living in a one income household with regular bills and medical bills piling up, Cindy’s savings is now drained and she needs our help. She’s the type of friend that is always there when you need her, and it’s our turn to be there for her! I know things are tight for everyone right now, but even a little bit helps.
