Help Support Christophersen Family

On July 20th Kim and Steve were in a very bad car accident in California. Their car was a total loss and Steve and Kim both suffered injuries. Kim is currently still in the hospital and in critical condition. She suffered broken ribs, fractured sternum, 29 stitches going across her head and now severe intestinal damage. She has had three surgeries and two have been emergency surgeries to repair and remove majority of her small intestine. She has a severe blood infection and permission has been given for a blood transfusion because her hemoglobin is off. Kim is diagnosed as septic and currently in an induced coma so her body can rest and heal. She is trying to fight the coma but needs her open incisions to heal so they can perform a colostomy.

Kim and Steve have two beautiful children, Derek and Michelle, who need support and love through this hard time. Steve did have to go back to work to support their family financially. Kim’s mom was able to fly to California to help with the kids and be at the hospital when she can. Any financial support to allow Steve and their family to be together during these hardships would be greatly appreciated!
