Help Support Christopher in his Recovery
On July 26th 2024, Christopher was involved in a hit and run motorcycle accident. He was leaving work and heading home for lunch on his break. While Christopher was traveling home, a driver in a SUV failed to yield to the oncoming traffic and pulled directly out in front of him. He impacted the SUV at 40mph and was thrown from his bike approximately 50 yards. Unfortunately, the driver of the vehicle got out of her vehicle and once she noticed he was not moving, fled the scene. Luckily others came to his aid quickly and called EMS. Fortunately, Christopher was wearing his helmet otherwise he probably would not be with us today, His body has multiple injuries including his right shoulder Rotator cuff, both hands, and his right knee fractured, Christopher has a long recovery ahead of him.
Christopher is 19 years old and just graduated from High School in May, his bike that he purchased just 10 days prior is totaled, and due to the injuries sustained he will be out of work a minimum of 3-6 months.
He is scheduled to follow up with an orthopedic surgeon this coming Thursday and has months of physical therapy ahead of him. This driver may not have taken his life, but she has cost him his immediate future, and most likely negatively affected his long-term future. His dreams and goals have all been negatively impacted, all because someone didn’t take the time to look twice.
At this time, we are asking for any help and support you can provide since Christiopher has massive medical bills, and loans for his truck and his now totaled motorcycle and absolutely no income for the foreseeable future. Since the State of Florida does not require motorcycle insurance he had no coverage. Relieving some of the financial burden from this young adult will help him focus more on his recovery.
Thank you,
