Help support Christopher Hannigan’s journey to recovery

Hi friends,
My name is Chris Hannigan. Many of you know me as a singer-songwriter, a dad of two, a partner to Adelina, and a friend or family member.

What Happened
In September 2022, just two months before the birth of our second child, our family was in a serious car accident that changed everything.
A Toyota Tacoma struck our Corolla and totaled it. Thankfully, Adelina — who was very pregnant at the time — and our two-year-old daughter were evaluated at the hospital and cleared of long-term injury. Our unborn son was also declared unharmed.
I wasn’t as lucky. I suffered a whiplash injury while my head was turned — a detail that makes the symptoms much more severe. Since then, I’ve experienced daily chronic pain, limited mobility, frequent headaches, tremors, and emotional strain.

Where Things Stand
Since the accident, I’ve had over 200 medical appointments and therapy sessions. I’ve made real progress — and I’m deeply grateful — but I still rely on weekly treatments just to function, parent, and perform basic tasks.
Financially, the toll has been steep. The cost of uncovered treatments and medications, combined with lost income and a delayed settlement, has caught up with us — and I’ve reached a point where I can’t carry it alone.
I’ve continued writing and performing music, but I’ve had to adapt. I now sit during most shows and have scaled back significantly. Music and creativity remain lifelines for me — but continuing to show up in those ways requires help.

How Your Support Helps
Your contribution will help me:
- Stay current on essential bills
- Continue the treatments that are helping me heal
- Regain some financial stability
- Keep creating, parenting, and showing up for my community
⸻
Why Now
I probably should have launched something like this sooner. But now — nearly three years into recovery (1,052 days) — it feels like the right time.
This support will ease the burden on our family and give me a clearer path back to doing what I love. It also helps take pressure off Adelina, who’s been unwavering in her support throughout this long, unpredictable journey.
If a song, show, conversation, or piece of art we’ve shared has ever resonated with you — this is a moment when your support can truly make a difference.
Whether you’re able to give or simply share this with someone who can — thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

With gratitude,
