Hello, my name is Sharina. Over the past month, my Aunt P and Uncle Chris have faced numerous challenges. It began with what was initially diagnosed as a “hernia” for Chris. Around April 11th, Chris experienced swelling in his leg, prompting a visit to the emergency room where an ultrasound was performed to check for blood clots. He was informed that the swollen area was a lymph node and advised to consult his primary physician. His primary physician referred him to a hematologist due to the swollen lymph node. On Friday, April 25th, they visited the hematologist who expressed concern over potential kidney failure caused by high creatinine levels. A nephrologist recommended hospitalization for further tests. Subsequently, during their hospital stay, additional lab work was conducted, including a CT scan, MRI, biopsies, and other tests. The biopsy of the inflamed lymph node revealed a diagnosis of T-cell lymphoma and Hodgkin's lymphoma. Consequently, Chris is unable to work and requires chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Although he was previously employed and had insurance coverage, he lost his insurance due to his inability to work following the diagnosis.
We are fundraising to support Chris's medical expenses and daily living costs during this challenging time.
