Hi. My name is Kim, and I am Christopher (Chris) Tolia's sister. There were 4 of us Tolia siblings- Michael, me, Chris, and Ryan (in that order). Back in the day when our mom was pregnant with Chris, I desperately wanted a sister. Chris decided early on that he was not in fact going to be my sister, and came into the world on Christmas Eve as a BROTHER! That Christmas morning, as a 4-year old who was only allowed to open a few Christmas presents, I clip-clopped in my oh-so-fabulous plastic heels into the hospital to meet my little brother. While he never did become the sister I hoped for, eventually I forgave him.
Chris was into 2 things as a child- airplanes and money. He would scour the floor at grocery store cash registers and leave with pockets jingling. (He had a way of manifesting what he desired at times.) While Chris always wanted to become a pilot, that did not in fact come to fruition. But he did turn his love for airplanes into a career as an airplane mechanic. During a trip to assist his airline, he met a girl on an airplane. He moved from Florida to Ohio to be with this girl and begin a life together.
Chris was 39 years old when he passed away unexpectedly on October 5, 2021. He left behind his beautiful wife Elizabeth (the girl previously referenced- pictured with Chris above and below), and two children- Anna (15) and Christopher Jr. (10).
As Elizabeth, Anna, and Christopher work to process this devastating loss, please know that any support you are able to give will be provided directly to Elizabeth to assist with both unexpected financial expenses as well as moving forward as a single-income family.
Christopher was a good man. We will miss him tremendously.
