Here it is at last, the big announcement!

Friends, the time has come to tell you all...In February I will be leaving the U.S. to live, learn, and work in Europe!! This will fulfill two essential goals:

1. To begin closing the distance between my girlfriend Sarah and I, which will enable us to see each other more often and plan future steps.

2. To obtain language skills that will allow me to find work in the area.

This is something that must be done in steps, starting with developing language skills for professional and personal use. I plan to use these funds to participate in a French language program in which I'll be taking classes while living with a French host family in Annecy for 4 months. It's quite common for ex-pats to participate in these types of language and culture programs while identifying employment opportunities in a desired region. The funds will only be used for this program, costs of living in Annecy, and for the plane ticket.
