Help Bella & Max, Orphaned by COVID-19
Donation protected
On August 24, 2021, Bella and Max Westervelt lost their 41 year old mother, Lauren, after she lost her battle with COVID-19. Isabella, 11, and Max, 8, were left orphans, as Lauren was a single mother.
Bella and Max have been graciously and selflessly taken in by their great aunt and uncle. They now are faced with moving the kids to a new state, enrolling them in new schools, and providing all of the necessities that the kids need for daily life. The children need everything from clothes to bedding, food, school supplies, toys, etc. Plus, there are staggering legal fees associated with the process of acquiring Legal Guardianship or Temporary Custody by Extended Family. The children will also likely need a lot of emotional and therapeutic intervention due to experiencing the trauma of their mother’s sudden and untimely death at their home.
Anything you can do to help is greatly appreciated. If all you can do is share this page, we are grateful .
