I got Charlie 2 weeks after I graduated college. Since then, we have been to 2 countries, and 32 states, and had so many adventures. If you've ever met Charlie you know that she is one of the most silly, crazy, dogs and has always been so full of life. Getting a dog at such a young age has been a huge challenge, but it is also the best thing I've ever done and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Charlie has been diagnosed with a Mast Cell Tumor on her back leg. The oncologist is hopeful that the tumor has not metastasized, but we won't know more until they remove the tumor and do more tests. Because of the location of the tumor, removal will be an intense and expensive surgery with an overnight stay at the hospital and a long road to recovery. I am very lucky to have a great community around me to support us as we go through this, but the future is very uncertain and I am trying to focus as much time as I can on making Charlie as happy and comfortable as possible
