Help Support Charlie Oakwell and Family

Baffins Milton Rovers Football Club are raising funds to support our club captain Charlie Oakwell, after the midfielder suffered a double leg break in our match with Petersfield Town on Saturday 30 September 2023.

The match was abandoned before half-time in order for Charlie to receive the outstanding treatment that he did, from the Baffins and Petersfield Town medical teams, along with paramedic staff who were quick to attend the scene. Charlie was then transported to Queen Alexandra Hospital Emergency Care Unit for further treatment, where the double leg break was confirmed.

Nicknamed 'Giraffe' by his team-mates, Charlie has made 13 appearances so far this season and has scored five goals, a vital presence in the Baffins squad. The midfielder played an instrumental role in the club winning the Wessex League Cup last term.

Outside of football, Charlie is a self-employed Groundworker, which means he is facing months away from work and a consistent income while he recovers from his horrific injury.

All funds raised from this GoFundMe will be donated to Charlie to help him, and his family, through this challenging time. Everyone at Baffins Milton Rovers FC will support Charlie to the best of their abilities, and we can't wait to see him back on the pitch in a Baffins jersey again.
