Help Support Chantel Through Her Breast Cancer Journey

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Jordan, and I’m fundraising for my best friend, Chantel.

Anyone who knows me knows just how much Chantel means to me. She’s more than a friend — she’s family. One of the most loving, selfless, and resilient people I’ve ever known. She has always shown up for others without hesitation, and now it’s our turn to show up for her.

Some of you may remember that just last year, I created a GoFundMe for Chantel while she was off work caring for her husband, who was critically ill. She sat by his side in Kingston ICU as he fought for his life — after dying being brought back four times and enduring seven major surgeries. On December 10th, she brought him home and became his full-time caregiver, managing his recovery with unwavering love and strength.

After two months, Chantel returned to work in March as a PSW with Durham Region. But only two weeks back, something felt off. She was exhausted, weak, and sensed that something wasn’t right. After seeking medical attention and undergoing several tests, she received the devastating diagnosis of Stage 2, Grade 1 breast cancer. A partial mastectomy was performed, and on July 22, she began her first round of chemotherapy.

Chantel is trying her best to remain positive, but this journey hasn’t been easy. She’s already had to attend over 23 medical appointments, with many more ahead. She will be applying for long-term disability, but those benefits won’t kick in until the end of November — leaving her without an income for months while trying to heal.

I’m asking for your help to support Chantel through this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward:
• Medical expenses not fully covered
• Transportation to and from treatments
• Hospital parking fees
• Groceries, bills, and other everyday essentials

If you know Chantel, you know how much she gives — to friends, coworkers, clients, even strangers on the street. She doesn’t hesitate to help. She’s always been that person. Now it’s our chance to return the love and support she has given so freely.

Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. Sharing this page or sending a kind message means more than you know.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
