In late June, our beloved father, husband, and papa, Chad, experienced a sudden and life-threatening medical emergency. Without warning, he suffered an aortic dissection and had to be airlifted to Grand Rapids for emergency open-heart surgery. Most people do not survive this type of medical crisis, and the fact that Chad is still with us is nothing short of a miracle. We are incredibly grateful and humbled for every day we still have with him and that he is home.

While we are celebrating this miracle, Chad and his wife, Dee, are now facing an incredibly difficult road ahead. His recovery will take time, and their lives changed in an instant. Along with the physical and emotional challenges comes an overwhelming financial burden. The costs of the emergency airlift, lifesaving open-heart surgery, hospitalization, and ongoing medical care are staggering.

Anyone who knows Chad and Dee knows they are among the most hardworking, loving, and selfless people you could ever meet. They are always the first to lend a helping hand and have never expected anything in return. Today, we're asking for that same kindness to be extended to them.
