Doctors confirmed he has GIST, and it is malignant. He will be starting chemo and radiation. 

As many of you know Chad is the assistant chief of Newalla Fire department. This past month he has been feeling very ill. Doctors believed it was Rocky Mountain Fever and was waiting to see if he had Lyme disease. Under further evaluation doctors found a mass on his lower intestine and is being admitted to the hospital. Chad is a great dad, friend, uncle, brother and firefighter. He is always there to help when needed and doesn't ask for anything in return. He is out of work until further notice.
