This fundraiser was started to help a dear friend Catherine Droden who is in the midst of metastatic breast cancer treatment. As many of you know, cancer treatment can add a great financial strain for out-of-pocket costs that add up quickly. Especially for treatments partially or not covered by health insurance.

On behalf of myself and several other friends, we are reaching out further to Catherine's community and to the community at large for donations. This is the time to come together for Catherine and her husband Ron. All proceeds will go to help ease their financial burden.

P.S. For those of you who know Catherine, you know that she LOVES to crochet and is quite talented! The photo in this fundraiser profile is one of her recent creations - named Pepper. Pepper was created as an auction item to help a local non-profit with their own fundraising. (I myself have a crocheted Bernie Sanders from Catherine, prominently displayed in my office.)
