Background: Seamus is diabetic and has been receiving treatment for Stage 3 cancer, and the aggressive chemotherapy and seven weeks of radiation have left him in a poor state of health. He lost the apartment where he was living because his health issues prevented him from working. He is now staying at a shelter but has overstayed and must find his own housing immediately. He is at a crisis point.

Seamus is a longtime Buddhist dharma practitioner. He was a student of Khen Rinpoche Geshe Lobsang Tharchin in New Jersey and continues to study with Lama Phuntsok.

Our cause: Our goal is to raise money so that we can help Seamus find a home where he can live while continuing treatment. We would like to support Seamus on an ongoing basis during his treatment and recovery, providing him with enough money to rent a private room to supplement a small government allotment. The expenditures will be overseen by Lama Phuntsok, who was an ordained Buddhist monk and continues to teach extensively.
