We are Cam’s closest family and friends. We have developed this campaign for our husband, son, brother, uncle, best friend, and close colleague after he suffered life-threatening injuries, including stage 3 kidney failure, pneumonia, and respiratory failure after a surfing accident.
The costs to get Cam back to his usual healthy self are immense, and we greatly appreciate any time you take to read, share, and donate to his recovery during this difficult time. Thank you!
Cam is truly an incredible human being. He’s the kind of person who makes everyone around him better—whether as a loving husband, devoted son, supportive brother, fun uncle, or loyal best friend. He’s smart, selfless, adventurous, always positive, and doesn’t take himself too seriously. And if you know Cam, you know you can’t spend 10 minutes with him without sharing true laughter - the lad is a comedian (whether he intends to be or not).
He’s also counting down the days for his wedding reception, where he and his wife Kristin will celebrate their marriage with their family and friends this November. Exactly 1 year after eloping
While on a trip in Central America, Cam was involved in a severe surfing accident that led to a set of life-threatening injuries. Kristin and her mom immediately traveled from the U.S. to be by his side, where he has since been receiving life saving care in the ICU.
Cam has been diagnosed with stage 3 kidney failure from rhabdomyolysis, along with pneumonia, respiratory failure, and other issues stemming from this accident. True to who he is, he’s fighting this with incredible strength—but the road to recovery is just beginning.
The care he has received—and what lies ahead—comes with significant financial strain. This includes ICU treatments, emergency services, an emergency medical flight back home, and additional ongoing care like dialysis and essential medications.
Cam is an athlete / adventurer at heart who loves running, biking, soccer, golf, skiing, and rock climbing—basically anything that gets him moving and/or laughing along with spending time with those closest to him. He’s already focused on getting back to doing what he loves with Kristin, his family, his friends, and his doggos.
If you’re able, we ask for your support—whether through a donation or simply sharing this page. Every bit helps more than we can put into words. Thank you for taking the time to read Cam’s story and for being part of his corner as he fights his way back.
