We wanted to take a moment to share an update on my brother, Cameron, and ask for your help as our family begins a long and uncertain journey ahead.
On Saturday night around 11:30 p.m. on October 11th in Nashville, Cam was struck by a vehicle that was drag racing while he was walking legally in a crosswalk on a well-lit street. He was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, arriving just before midnight, and has been intubated in the ICU since.
Cameron suffered compound and complex fractures in his right leg and right arm (both open wounds), deep gashes on the back of his head, and injuries to his ear that required stitches. He also has a cut on his pancreas, which may require a stent.
He has already undergone several successful surgeries on his humerus, tibia, and fibula, and is currently undergoing treatment for the deep wounds on his head, which require a skin graft. He will still need an additional surgery on his elbow. It’s a long road ahead — with more procedures, extensive physical therapy, and rehabilitation to follow.
We also want to acknowledge the two young women who called 911 and stayed with Cameron, praying with him until help arrived. Their kindness in that moment means the world to us.
As Cameron begins this long recovery process, our family is preparing for the significant medical expenses, ongoing rehabilitation, and possible legal costs that will come with his treatment and healing. While our focus remains on helping Cam regain his strength, we know the financial impact will be substantial and long-term.
Every donation — no matter how small — will go directly toward Cameron’s medical bills, physical therapy, and long-term recovery costs. If you’re unable to donate, please consider sharing this page and keeping Cameron in your prayers.
Cam’s spirit is untouchable, and even in the darkest moments, we’ve seen his strength shine through. Our family is holding onto hope and gratitude for every bit of progress he makes.
Thank you all for your love, support, and prayers.
