Help support Callyn's medical expenses

Hi, my name is Hailey Sorensen. I am starting this fundraiser for my dearest friend and amazing mother, Callyn Stewart. Navigating life after the pandemic, losing her job and becoming a new mother, she fell suspicious when she wasn't bouncing back to her usual self. Finally, the lethargy became unbearable she sought help. Little did she know, she would have a scary, painful road ahead.

April-May of 2022 A lime-sized lump was found in one lobe of her thyroid and a smaller one on the other side. Callyn underwent several biopsies resulting in an immediate Thyroidectomy, lymph node removal, and strap muscle removal. We waited eagerly, praying it wasn't the big 'C' word. Then, we received the devastating news. She was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. Healing, adjusting to new medications, cancer treatment plans and still being an astonishing mother to her baby girl. A week later, Callyn found herself back in the emergency room. A gall stone had blocked a duct to her liver causing a serious infection of the liver. Callyn was transferred to Peace Health in Vancouver for a procedure to remove the stone. The following day a cholecystectomy was in order, her third and final procedure.

She was not only afflicted with the pain and stress on her body but unable to fully enjoy every precious moment with her one-year-old baby Vy with her fantastic, very supportive partner Levi. They have a hard (hopefully short) road ahead of them still.

Callyn will start her cancer treatment plan with radioactive iodine soon, which can be an isolating and grueling experience, as well as adjusting to her new lifelong medication/ hormone replacement.

Callyn is the most loving, caring, intelligent, talented, feistiest, life-loving woman and the toughest cookie anyone has ever met. She deserves the entire WORLD, but at the very least, all I can do is graciously ask for financial assistance and support my friend in any way that I can.
