Support Bungy Through His Cancer Battle

Recently Michael, or Bungy as we all know him, received news that turned his world upside down. For most of you, you're learning about Bungy's condition for the first time as you read this. A cervical Spine MRI taken on June 8th, 2024 revealed that Michael is battling Metastatic bone cancer.

Bungy has been battling shoulder and chest pain for the past few months. Multiple trips to the doctor, shoulder rehab, cortisone shots, and several other procedures could not dull the pain he has been feeling. An MRI was taken to get a better look at what was happening with his shoulder, and that is when as the report states, they found "multiple aggressive-appearing infiltrative bone lesions throughout the cervical spine, upper thoracic spine, partially visualized sternal manubrium and medial clavicles, suggestive of multiple myeloma or metastatic disease." In layman's terms, Bungy has tumors on his shoulders, ribs, chest plate, and sternum. The cancer has affected his rib cage such, that much of the chest pain he was feeling was from broken ribs. Doctors will run additional tests this week to try to determine the exact type of cancer Michael is battling and to come up with a treatment plan.

This has all been a shock to Bungy, and to those of us who learned of his condition. The months, and years ahead, will be a tough road to travel for him. He does not know how long he will be able to continue working. The past few months have already been difficult for Mike at work. He was not sure what was going on but he had noticed that he was tired more than usual and that he had a lot of pain which he attributed to his age catching up to his " Go Go" attitude. If Mike were not able to continue working it would be extremely tough for him to care for himself. Between rent, health insurance, and basic needs, this situation will be financially devastating for him. But the reality is that this day will be coming soon. It is for this reason that I am starting this GoFundMe for Bungy.

Mike has received love and support from those who he shared this news with. He wanted to keep this to himself but as we all know, you're only as sick as your secrets. What Bungy needs at this time is love and support from all who have known him, and even those that do not.

In order to help him, and to offer him some peace of mind as he goes through these extremely tough days ahead, I am starting a GoFundMe page to help alleviate some of the costs that will amount throughout his treatment. Any donation that you can make is greatly appreciated.
