Hi friends, recently my sister Brooke’s world was turned upside down when she was badly burned in a fire. She has been in the hospital for several days now in excruciating pain, enduring scrubbing treatments twice a day to remove skin debris. Burns continue to progress for several days after the initial burn so we've been anxiously awaiting answers. They've found that some areas specifically her elbow, arm, hand, and spots on her legs are significant and she'll need surgery to completely remove the debris and preform skin grafting soon. After that she'll continue with a long, difficult recovery before she’s able to return back to work.
As many of you know, Brooke is self-employed and has always worked so hard to provide for herself. She’s facing a season where she simply can’t — her body needs time to heal. While she’s out of work, the bills don’t stop. On top of her regular expenses she’s now carrying the weight of significant hospital bills from her stay, surgery, and the ongoing care she’ll need in the weeks and months ahead.
We're setting up this fundraiser to help ease that overwhelming burden so Brooke can focus on what matters most: healing. Every donation will go directly toward her living expenses and the supplies and follow-up care she needs, we'll know more of what those extra expenses will be as time goes.
