My best friend, Brittney Siferd and her husband, Jake are currently experiencing a very difficult time.

With a newly 3 month old baby girl, Brittney has been experiencing severe back pain. After multiple hospital visits and extensive testing, doctors discovered she has two compression fractures in her lower back, four in her upper back, and a bulging disc. As a result, she has been unable to care for or even hold her baby without assistance.

In the last month, Jake has made the very difficult decision to take time off of work to care for their baby girl.

Being in and out of the hospital, with multiple tests being done, doctors have finally reached a diagnosis. She has a very rare bone mineral deficiency from breastfeeding. Brittney is currently in hospital, struggling to walk on her own and relying on a walker for mobility. She will continue to stay in the hospital for further testing with no clear timeline for recovery.

As you can imagine, with both Brittney and Jake unable to work and a newborn to care for, this creates a lot of financial stress on them both.

With upcoming medical bills and months of upcoming physiotherapy, we want to alleviate any financial burden that this will bring upon Brittney, Jake and little Sophie during this difficult time.

They are two of the most caring people in the world—willing to do anything for those they love and would even give a stranger the shirt off their backs
