Help Support Brittani’s Battle and Road to Recovery
Donation protected
On June 3, my daughter, Brittani Schade and our whole family's lives were turned upside down.
In her words (with her permission) from June 3…
I’m not one to make my private things public, but I’m currently facing one of the biggest challenges of my life. For the last two months, I have been having horrible headaches and migraines every day, my vision going blurry at times and dizziness. I have been doctoring and going through the motions but I wasn’t able to get any answers until yesterday when the symptoms just weren’t easing. I went to Potomac Valley and they performed a CT and diagnosed me with a brain mass. I have so much good to say about that hospital. They treated me absolutely amazing! They got me transferred to Ruby for further testing and to meet with the team who will perform the operation next week sometime (that’s the plan for now) to remove it. I would appreciate all the prayers and love for me and my family, especially my girls. They just don’t understand. I know God can change everything and he is a miracle worker and he has shown me that time and time again in my life. I know it won’t be any different this time and there is definitely strength in numbers. Thank you so much for everyone who has already reached out and the support we are getting. Please keep it coming!!
June 11 update after her visit at the Neurological clinic…..
I wanted to update everyone who has joined me on this journey I am on. Yesterday I went to Ruby and met with my surgeon and we have a plan in place to move forward with the surgery to remove the tumor. Towards the end of the month, I will have an angiogram and be admitted after for surgery the next day. There is a lot riding on the results from that test as to how they approach resection and even as to how much they will be able to resect due to many important blood vessels being involved. So, while we have a plan there are still a lot of unknowns. I feel very confident in my surgeon's ability to guide me through this along with God but I would be lying if I said I’m not worried. I appreciate all the love, prayers, and support myself and my family has been receiving. Please keep it coming.
Today, June 25 at 6:30 am starts the journey.
She will have her Angiogram, following she will be admitted with a follow-up CAT scan scheduled for tomorrow, proceeded by the surgery to remove the mass.
Brittani and Ryan Schade are not ones to ever ask for help, but undeniably, they are going to need financial assistance. Britt will be off work for the foreseeable future, and Ryan will need to be off for some time to take care of Britt during and after her hospital stay. They have 2 incredible daughters, 2 and 9 years old. We have a wonderful family support system that will share the responsibility of childcare so that worry is not on them while they get Britt back to good health. Great friends have offered to help care for their 2 fur babies as well.
Brittani and Ryan would never ask for help themselves, but we are asking for them as they truly will need it. They have a mortgage, utilities, house care and expenses, etc, all while Ryan will be traveling back and forth incurring food and fuel expenses as he checks on things at home and spends much needed time with their girls and fur babies.
Most importantly, we are asking for PRAYERS & good vibes for them, but if you feel inclined to donate and help them financially, we can provide details.
We have seen the power of PRAYER in our community, and we know GOD has this
Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
