Help Support Bray After a Traumatic Car Accident
On July 4th, Bray was involved in a serious car accident while turning into a gas station. He was hit by another vehicle that was speeding. The impact left them with multiple traumatic injuries: broken ribs, a broken nose (requiring stitches), staples in their head, a grade 3 liver bleed, and a bruised lung.
They were first rushed to Hurley Medical Center and then transferred to MyMichigan Medical Center on July 5th for care. They have remained hospitalized since the accident, with doctors closely monitoring the liver bleed and other injuries. Once stable enough, they will need to follow up with ENT and trauma specialists on an outpatient basis.
Recovery will be long and difficult. Bray will need round-the-clock support with pain management, mobility (sitting, standing, walking), personal hygiene, and caring for our daughter. I’ve had to take time off work to be by their side and help them through this.
In addition to the medical and living expenses, we are now also facing the loss of the truck involved in the accident. It was borrowed from my grandfather while my personal vehicle was down, and it was completely totaled in the crash. We’re now left without reliable and affordable transportation at a time when we need it most for follow-up appointments, errands, and family responsibilities.
We’re humbly asking for support to help cover the mounting medical bills, lost income, and now the cost of replacing the vehicle that was destroyed.
Every donation, share, and kind word means the world to us. Thank you for helping our family through this incredibly difficult time.
