The good and positive news is that he is awake and survived this traumatic event. Braxton is still receiving medical treatment and has been moved to the cardiac surgery ward.
From previous specialist reports, his previous two collapses in April and the information collected from the defibrillator used at school. It shows that he had ventricular fibrillation (VF) which is rare for his age and is life threatening, as VF is the number one cause of cardiac arrests.
The school’s amazing response to using the defibrillator and CPR saved his life.
Specialists have advised that he will remain in hospital for several weeks.
As you can imagine, it is a difficult time for Braxton and his family!
As the future is uncertain and they do not yet know the extent or cost of Braxton's rehabilitation, the funds raised will mainly go to support any treatments, ambulance and costs for Braxton.
Sione and Wiki would be forever grateful for any donation. No amount is too small. Many people connected to Braxton are unsure what they can do to help and we know the local basketball community have been concerned about Braxton and his family, so we hope that maybe this is a opportunity to assist them in a small way.
Please dig deep and help this Wonderful family in their time of need as they would be the first to help anyone in their situation!
