Help Support Brad & Rebecca Skiffington (Medical)

Hi, My name is Steve and I am a close friend of Brad & Rebecca Skiffington. I am raising funds for them to support and assist them during this trying time.

I have known Brad for over 30 years, and I have known Rebecca since they met and fell in love 25 years ago.

Brad was born with Cystic Fibrosis and has not had an easy time for most of his life. 21 years ago this month, Brad received the gift of life and underwent a double lung transplant in Toronto, Ontario. Brad and Rebecca would go on to make their life in Ontario to be close to the transplant team. Over the past 20 years, it has not been easy for them there have been many trips and admissions to hospitals.

On Thursday, January 12th, they had their biggest setback yet. Brad was admitted to Toronto General Hospital (Transplant unit) due to ongoing issues with his stomach and problems breathing.

On the morning of Friday, January 13th, Brad suffered a cardiac arrest and was resuscitated after 25 mins of CPR and was immediately transferred to the ICU. Brad remains on many machines to assist him...It is unknown how recovery will go at this point. Rebecca is by his side every minute.

His family and friends are extremely concerned.

There are significant expenses that they will endure in the coming days, weeks, and months ahead. The cost of everyday life in Toronto is very expensive. They live 2.5 hours away from downtown Toronto where Brad is current in hospital.

Any money raised will assist them with many of the expenses (Hotels/parking/gas/food) are having to deal with now and over the next few months. There are so many unknowns at this point.
