Help Support Brad & Angelina Glidewell
UPDATE 10/9/25:
Brad received the call everyone has been waiting for, and it is, in fact, cancer. When cancer is advanced, it can be difficult to determine exactly where it started. Although doctors believe it likely began in the lungs, they are going to send his biopsy and do blood tests for more extensive genetic testing over the next one to two weeks. The results of these tests will help determine the best treatment plan for Brad moving forward.
ORIGINAL POST: If you live in the Lake of the Ozarks community, chances are Brad Glidewell has captured one of your most cherished moments. From school portraits and youth sports to weddings, family photos, and countless nonprofit events, Brad has been behind the camera, generously giving his time and talent to others for years.
Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
Just days ago, Brad and his wife, Angelina, received devastating news. After a recent PET scan, doctors believe Brad has stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his liver, lymph nodes, and trachea.
A 12mm spot on his lung seen just three months ago has now grown to 16mm. Even more alarming, his liver SUV, a key marker, came back at 50.2, when a normal level is just 2–3.
They are still waiting on a biopsy to confirm the diagnosis, but the urgency is clear.
Brad and Angelina are currently at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Mayo has scheduled a full weeks of appointments immediately, and Brad will now receive the expert care he needs.
Unfortunately, insurance won’t cover any of it.
Brad and Angelina are both self-employed, which means no paid time off or sick leave. They’ve had to cancel and refund deposits for photography sessions and pet-sitting bookings, resulting in immediate loss of income, just as expenses are piling up. They do not know when they will be able to work again.
We are raising funds to help them cover:
•Medical costs at Mayo Clinic and related care
•Travel, lodging, and transportation to and from Minnesota
•Lost income from canceled work
•Ongoing treatment and recovery expenses
Brad has been there for so many of us; now let’s be there for him now.
Every donation, large or small, will go directly toward easing the financial burden during this overwhelming time.
