Friends and Family,

My whole life it was always my job to protect my little sister Bo from the hardships that life throws at us. Unfortunately this time I'm afraid she has been dealt a hand that will be too much to overcome on our own. As some of you may already know, to a lot it will be a surprise, my sister was diagnosed with breast cancer last month. She has a long road ahead of her but anyone that knows Bo knows she is a FIGHTER! As you know, she is a single mother of 2 beautiful children, Jordan (15) and Ella (7), and she is already starting to feel the burdens of what her journey with treatment and recovery is going to endure.

Anyone that knows my sister knows that she would give the shirt off her back to help someone in need, and she wouldn't expect anything in return. In fact, just yesterday when I told her I was going to write up a GoFundMe for her, the first words she said were "Casey, everyone is struggling right now, I wouldn't feel right" I reassured her that there are plenty of people in this community and around the world that love her dearly and want to help her in any way that they can! She finally agreed, but I could tell she was reluctant to have her business out there for the world to see. She wasn't raised to feel sorry for herself and if she could do this on her own I know she would.

Bo's first chemo treatment begins on 5/10 and runs every Friday through 9/20. She will be traveling to Greeley for this while her children will be back in Sterling. Many friends and family have stepped up already to take turns driving her to and from her treatments and also making sure her children are comfortable during this time. I can't thank you guys enough and it makes me so happy knowing the great people she has in her corner to support her during this struggle!

The funds raised from this will go directly to Bo and be used for traveling and medical expenses along the way. Believe me when I say ANYTHING helps. $1, $5, etc. If you can only share this post that is ok too! If you are not comfortable using GoFundMe you can reach out to her directly or on Venmo @Bo-E88. Another way to help is through meals. In typical Bo fashion, she is only worried about her children and not herself. She is stressing about being nauseous and tired after her treatments and not being able to cook and provide meals for them. If anyone in the area could make just a little extra for the kids and drop it by the house that would help tremendously! We will be working on making a meal train schedule in the coming weeks, so please be on the lookout for that as well.
