Help Support Boogie's Dental Surgery
Donation protected
This is Boogie, my 8 year old cat. Boogie found out today that he has advanced dental disease and will need several extractions. The procedure itself is estimated to cost $1000-1500, but the vet won't know the exact cost until he is sedated.

This does not include the cost of: today's exam ($96), bloodwork to ensure he can be safely sedated ($290), vaccines required for the procedure ($?), dental cleaning ($?), or anesthesia ($500). In order to cover these costs, I had to sign up for a monthly care plan ($115/mo for twelve months), which covers all of these additional costs, but not the surgery itself. If I terminate the care plan early, I will be responsible for the cost of all care he has received minus what I have paid into the care plan--so between not having the money upfront, and the sheer cost of everything he has needed so far and will likely need over the next year, this was the best choice to make financially.

This is coming after his little sister Panini just needed a $400 vet visit for an aggressive ear infection and digestive issues. It is also coming after I have incurred a large amount of my own unexpected healthcare costs this past month as an uninsured/self-pay patient.
I have been unemployed and job searching since January, and it has been difficult to cover these costs on top of my regular bills. I have two promising job prospects, but both have a start date of 7/1. In the meantime, I am asking for help covering his procedure.

Right now, his procedure is scheduled for 5/23. Payment will be due at that time. His issues have developed over time, so this is not an emergency, but he has been having pain for a long time and has bleeding, tooth damage, gum inflammation, and some missing teeth. I knew he was having some issues, but I had no idea they were this severe (he won't let me look in his mouth, and since his lips are dark, it is difficult for me to see what is going on). If I need to postpone his procedure, it will need to be done before 8/8 or else he will need to have more labs done, which means another vet visit and another hour long roundtrip that will be very stressful for him.
I definitely don't expect to raise the full cost of the procedure, or anywhere close--but every little bit helps. This little boy is the sweetest cat I have ever met in my life, I am very fortunate to have him, and I want to give him the care and quality of life he deserves.
