Help support Bonnie to rebuild her home!

Hello my name is Dorothy Argent. Barb Brouwer and I are asking for support for our friend Bonnie Thomas, who lost her house and most of its contents in a weekend fire.

In the early morning hours of Saturday, Jan. 8, someone set a fire in Bonnie’s carport. Fortunately, her son Darcy was awake and, after being alerted by a neighbour, was able to wake Bonnie in time for them to escape.

Firefighters from several halls responded quickly but the fire had already made its way into her home. While the flames were extinguished by 3:20 a.m., there was extensive smoke and water damage, making the home uninhabitable.

As well, Bonnie’s car was completely consumed by the fire.

A single mother, Bonnie is going to need a lot of help from the community to get back on her feet after this devastating event . Donations will be greatly appreciated!
