My family is reaching out on behalf of my grandmother, Bonnie, who is facing an extremely difficult and unexpected financial crisis after the recent passing of her husband, John.

John and Bonnie were married for decades, building a life filled with love, routine, and quiet dedication to one another. Losing John has already left a heartbreaking void in Bonnie’s life — but on top of her grief, she is now dealing with a financial hardship no widow should ever have to face.

While we are working with the state and various agencies, the process for her to receive life insurance and pension benefits is slow, and Bonnie is left struggling in the meantime.

She is now faced with covering mortgage payments, utilities, groceries, and basic day-to-day needs with almost no financial cushion until everything is sorted out. Our hope is to ease some of that burden so she can focus on healing and navigating this transition with dignity and support.
