Help Support Bobby's Ongoing Medical Expenses

As many of you already know, Bobby has recently been fighting a huge fight against Covid-19 and the lasting after affects that the virus has taken on his body. He became ill at work one afternoon and came home with a 102+ temp. The next few days were extremely trying, as he could hardly even get himself out of bed. He had tested positive for Covid-19.

We knew this would be a rough journey, but never did we ever imagine just how rough it would become. Bobby quickly went from sick, to bed ridden, to hospitalized, as he continued to struggle with breathing on his own and finding any strength to take care of himself. Once hospitalized, he was soon after placed in the ICU where they had him hooked up to a breathing machine, antibiotics, and steroids due to a drop in his heart rate and oxygen levels. After a very long week, he was finally showing improvement and we had high hopes that he'd soon be moved out of the ICU and on his way to being home, again.  Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worst.

Just this last week he was moved out of the ICU but the strain on his lungs of him trying to breathe on his own, was just too much for his body to handle. The stress on his body had caused adverse affects and he was quickly moved back into the ICU and was soon after put on life support. This all happened faster than we could comprehend and you can imagine the fear and uncertainty we all were feeling.

The next day, the BAH team decided that it was necessary for him to be transferred to Sacred Heart, as his medical needs had progressed and they were better equipped.  He was life flighted that night. Once he arrived they ran extensive tests and treated him the best they had the ability to do so but once again it was discovered that he needed more than they were able to offer him. He was then life flighted to Legacy Hospital in Portland, where he currently is being treated. He is currently on a VVR ventilator and his lungs are dying as he remains on life support, fighting for his life. If he can't remain stable or begin to show improvement, he will require a treatment called ECMO which is the only remaining option for treatment.

Bobby is so well loved in our community and has touched so many lives, in so many ways. There are so many of you out there sharing concern and it truly is heart warming to know that we have such a huge support system by our side. Bobby is a loving father, husband, friend and more and we all NEED him to come home healthy. Our family is not the kind to ever ask for help or to expect anything from anyone. All who know Bobby or our family, knows that he would do anything for anyone, without ever asking for something in return. We've all seen him do so much to take care of others,  and now he needs our help to take care of him. This is going to be such a LONG journey and we still don't know what to expect from here on out.

Our family can't thank you enough for taking time to ask how he's doing, checking in on all of us, showing your support and keeping him/us in your thoughts and prayers. There truly is strength in numbers. Thank you for following this journey and taking time to read the updates and to offer all that you can to us during this difficult time. This is so much more than we ever thought we'd have to face and it is extremely scary and uncertain but positivity goes a long way and we are doing our best to be strong for him and for each other.

Stay safe, stay healthy and please keep Bobby in your thoughts as he continues to fight to come home. We appreciate any opportunity for this story and page to be shared. Share away!
