Hi! We’re Honestine Mbuyenge and Shayla Eshelman — two BIPOC artists and storytellers using movement to spark conversations, ignite change, and open new pathways for connection. Together, we form the UpNext Collective, and we’re thrilled to announce our very first evening-length dance show, coming September 2026!
This isn’t just a show — it’s an experience.
Through a blend of Hip Hop groove, contemporary dance, salsa, live music, rap, and spoken word, our performance explores the powerful theme of cycle-breaking: what it means to challenge generational patterns, navigate internal battles, and step fully into transformation.
We’re proud to say this will be a fully professional production, built over 5 ½ months of intense rehearsals and creative development. Our dream is to pay every single artist involved — to honor their time, their craft, and the deep soul they’re bringing to this work. As directors and choreographers, nothing moves us more than seeing dancers embody the story, merging their identities with ours to create something truly communal.
✨ This is where you come in. ✨
We’re raising funds to help bring this vision to life — and every dollar truly helps. Whether you can donate or simply share this with your circle, your support brings us one step closer to making this unforgettable night a reality.

We hope you’re eager to ground, inform, and reset with us. Let’s make space for BIPOC artists. Let’s dance, heal, and break cycles — together.
Thank you for believing in this. We can’t wait to see you at the show!
