Help support Bill in his fight against lung cancer

Donation protected
Hello, and thank you very much for visiting Bill's fundraising page.

Our beloved Bill Stegmaier is currently fighting, not one, but two different types of lung cancer. The good news- is that Bill has been given hope by his oncologist that his cancers are treatable with chemotherapy and immunotherapy. Unfortunately, on November 16th, Bill had a complication during his chemo treatment and was rushed to a Rockford hospital for low oxygen saturations. His right lung tumor was bleeding badly and he required intubation and was placed on a ventilator in the ICU.

Yesterday, Bill was taken by ambulance to the University Hospital in Madison, Wisconsin for an emergency procedure to help stent the bronchus of the bleeding lung in hopes to save Bill's life and take him off the ventilator. If this is successful, then Bill will restart his chemo and immunotherapy treatments in order to buy him precious time with his wife and family.

This journey has been an extremely emotional, exhausting, and stessful one for the Stegmaier family. Bill and Deb have been married for over 50 years, have 5 wonderful kids, and 9 beautiful grandchildren. They are a very close family. Throughout the past week, they have spent numerous hours driving back and forth between the hospital and staying in hotels to be close to Bill.

This fundraiser was made to help ease the burden of costs towards Bill and Deb's medical, gas, food, and hotel expenses.

We are one day away from Thanksgiving- instead of being at home, the Stegmaier family will be traveling two or more hours from their homes to be with their father who is in the hospital in Madison, Wisconsin.

In addition to prayers, I ask that you give financially any amount big or small. Let us be grateful for our ability to give and help others in traumatic times. Financial support is a major way to help ease the heavy burden of a life crisis and many of us have the means to give. Please give generously!

James 1:27 says: "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress..." I like to also think that this means looking after wives and women when their husbands are critically ill.

Thank you in advance and God bless you all!
