Help support Bambi's Vet and Hospital expenses!

Hey everyone,

Our cat Bambi was gone missing for one week and when she came back she got sick and got worse day by day since.

We have been back and forth with her to our local Vet with no positive outcome and now our poor baby is in intensive care and is being treated at UCD Veterinary Hospital. We still don't know exactly what is wrong with her (we don't know the bigger picture/main cause) and if she will come out of this alive and safe. Many tests and investigations have been carried out and continue to be carried out which is costing us a fortune (so far euro 3,000 and the bill continues to grow). So far she has suffered/is suffering from multiple things like having a fatty liver disease, infection in her gallbladder, pancreas issues, respiratory problems, anemia, fever, difficulty in making red/white blood cells, lethargic etc ....one day she is getting a little better and the next day not and her condition is a matter of life or death. Curently she is being tested for FIP Disease. Most tests are being sent to the UK and it has been very time-consuming and we need to pay for each moment she spends there.

We really want to find out what is wrong with our baby, heal her and bring her home to us. She is our family's baby and she has filled our hearts with so much love, laughter and memories since we got her. We miss her so much as well as her older sister Kaia.

***Update: 30th Oct 2023***

So far, Bambi has been diagnosed with pancreatitis, hepatic lipidosis (fatty liver disease), Salmonella bile infection, enlarged abdominal lymph nodes (likely reactive from the inflammation in her abdomen) and anaemia (of multiple causes). Currently she is still in the hospital getting treated and if everything goes well she will be discharged soon. She has not been diagnosed with FIP Disease.

***Update: 31st Oct 2023***
Bambi is responding well to her treatments for the above diagnosis. May be discharged home tomorrow.

***Update: 1st Nov 2023***
Bambi has been discharged and now she is at home on treatment. We are treating her for fatty liver disease, pancreatitis, salmonella bile infection, enlarged abdominal lymph nodes and anaemia. At the moment she still lacks energy, appetite and has lost a lot of weight but we definitely see a big improvement from when we first left her at ICU. We will be going back to the hospital for a check up within a week to see if she is doing well at home on her treatments.

Estimated bill so far from the beginning to present has been worth EURO 5890.

Any support from you, no matter how little will help our Bambi.

God bless. Thank you!
