In Loving Memory of Baby Wyatt

Wyatt, an ordinarily healthy two-and-a-half-year-old with occasional asthma issues, began experiencing worsening symptoms and labored breathing after being sick recently. His mom Karen took him to the emergency room on Tuesday, February 8, expecting him to be given steroids and a breathing treatment, as has been done in the past.

 

Upon arrival, Wyatt stopped breathing, and his heart stopped beating. After about 5 minutes, the medical staff was able to revive him.

 

Wyatt is currently in the Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) at Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tennessee.

 

He is currently on a ventilator and sedated and has made little improvement since his admittance. He has experienced brain damage, though the severity is still unknown.

 

We are asking for prayers, good vibes, well wishes, and any support you are willing and able to offer this sweet family. (I went to school with mom Karen, and we've been dear friends for 30+ years.)

Requesting prayers for our son, Wyatt. He has been dealing with asthma for the past year now and it would get worse any time he had allergies or a cold. He has been sick the past couple of days and his breathing was becoming very labored. We brought him to the ER this morning thinking they would give him steroids and a breathing treatment like the last few times. Well, when we walked into the ER he had stopped breathing and then his heart stopped too. He was revived after about 5 minutes, but he is now in the PCCU at the Childrens Hospital. He is on a ventilator and sedated at the moment and even though he has made a few little improvements since this morning, he still needs all of the prayers you've got in you. Thank you.
