Help Support Baby Theodore & Family

Hi there everyone. I am reaching out to look for support for a member of our team at O'Flynn Roofing. Our foreman, Tyler Simpson, and wife Hailey have been dealt a more challenging hand than most. Tyler's a star member of our team that we are extremely lucky and appreciative to have. Therefore, we wanted to create a gofundme to reach more people and get Tyler & family more much-needed support.

Tyler & Hailey Simpson have a beautiful family consisting of three young children. During an ultrasound with their newest babe, they found out there would be a medical complication. Their youngest child, Theodore Flynn Simpson, came into the world on July 30, 2022, weighing 4lb 1oz. Theodore dealt with IUGR (intrauterine growth restriction) during pregnancy, which can lead to several complication(s) both during pregnancy and after birth.

The condition caused baby Theodore to be born with a hole in the heart, which caused him to suffer respiratory issue(s), and meant he would need to remain in the hospital indefinitely to receive further medical care and treatment. It also meant Tyler & Hailey would both be taking the next 6 month period off of work (at least). On November 22nd, 2022, Teddy had heart surgery to fix the hole. He's slowly recovering and been doing well since surgery. Theodore's now able to become a smiley, happy, and healthy baby boy. He's also been loving having the ability to start being more active.

Although Theodore's been improving in condition, he's still got a long road of recovery before he can be taken home for the first time. He's been staying at at BC Children's Hospital since birth, with parent's Tyler & Hailey staying at Ronald McDonald House. Theodore's family have had a very positive experience with both Children's Hospital and RMH, however, that doesn't change the fact that it's been an expensive journey.

Not only have they both needed to take ample time off of work, but also find care for their other children - not to mention the many expense(s) that pile up when dealing with an extended hospital stay and extensive medical care.
