Help support Baby Rion and the Vasquez family
Donation protected
Baby Rion, the precious newborn of Rizzel and King Vasquez was born on April 14, 2025 at Royal Devon University Hospital in Exeter. Rion has been diagnosed with Pierre Robin Sequence, a complex condition requiring specialised medical attention. He is currently receiving expert care at the paediatric unit in Bristol Hospital, a leading facility in the South West for children's health.
Pierre Robin Sequence is a rare condition characterized by a smaller-than-normal lower jaw (micrognathia), a tongue that is displaced backward (glossoptosis), and often a U-shaped cleft palate. These features can lead to significant breathing and feeding difficulties, often requiring prolonged hospital stays and specialized interventions.
While Baby Rion is in excellent hands at Bristol Hospital, his family is facing an immense financial burden. Beyond the direct medical costs, which are largely covered by the NHS in the UK, the family faces significant indirect expenses that quickly adds up.
We are launching this fundraiser to alleviate the financial stress on the Vasquez family, allowing them to focus on Rion’s recovery and well-being. Your generous contribution will directly support:
Travel expenses: Ensuring the family can be with Rion for every appointment and during his hospital stay.
Daily living costs: Helping with food, utilities, and other essential expenses during this challenging time.
Accommodation near the hospital: If needed, to keep the family close to Rion.
Any additional unforeseen expenses related to Rion's condition.
Every donation, no matter how small, will make a tangible difference in the lives of Baby Rion and his family. Your support will provide much-needed comfort and practical assistance during this incredibly difficult journey.
Thank you for your compassion and generosity. Let's come together to support Baby Rion and the Vasquez family.
