Hey everyone!

my name is Babykitty and I had to get an emergency life saving surgery on Sunday afternoon 9/28. I had cysts all over my uterus and one of them ruptured and started an infection in my belly. I started to get all swollen and not feel good. My mom had to bring me to the doctor at 3am!! When we got to the vet all of the nice nurses were giving me pets and gave me an IV with fluids and antibiotics. I was such a sweet girl purring and making biscuits while they put the needles in. I had to get an ultrasound on my belly and the nurses said my uterus was about to burst because of the swelling from the infection. I was being such a brave girl and got moved into the cat ward. I waited and waited and then two nurses came in and shaved my belly and started to prep me for surgery. I got brought to a room and then suddenly I fell asleep. I don’t remember much. The next thing I remember was being woken up by my mom and a nurse petting me and covering me in blankets. I heard them talking about how my body temperature was too low and they put a heated blanket on me. I was so cozy but I couldn’t move and I had my tongue sticking out. The vet came in and showed my mom what my uterus looked like and explained what was going on. The doctor said she’s never seen anything like this! My mom and dad waited by my side for hours and hours. My aunties got me care packages and cards and I was feeling so loved and supported by everyone <3 I finally started to feel better and got to eat some wet food. I even got the bowl stuck on my head because of my cone. The nurses then took some more blood to check my levels to see if I was getting better. After a long day I was finally cleared to go home. I am so happy to be back at home and sleeping in my bed. I missed my baby sister while I was gone. My mom said I’m really good at taking my medication and such a sweet girl. I have to go back to the doctors in 10 days to get my stitches out. I won’t be scared to go this time. I’m a brave girl.

baby kitty’s surgery original vet bill was a little over $7000.00 but because she was doing so well she got to leave the vet early and got a $973.00 refund! I want to thank everyone that has supported my little girl. She is healing very well and is continuing to get better and better every day. Thank you for the love❤️
