Help Support Baby Jace and His Family Through a Medical Cris

Donation protected
Update on baby Jace - he entered the world on 5/20/25 weighing 6 pounds 7oz at 34 weeks pregnant.
He's fighting like crazy and had to be shocked when born to correct his flutter in his heart. He is currently on a ventilator and a feeding tube. We’re unsure when surgery will be but as of now he has not needed ecmo thank god! We are so close to our goal and need help with falling behind while being in the hospital. On top of the trips and time going to be spent in the CICU. Anything helps and we appreciate everyone for the donations & prayers!

Dear friends and family,

Many of you already know the difficult journey Abby and Justin have been facing. For those who don’t, their sweet baby boy, Jace, has been diagnosed with an extremely rare and severe heart condition — Tricuspid Valve Dysplasia combined with a very severe form of Ebstein’s Anomaly.

At just 28 weeks into the pregnancy, Abby was admitted to the hospital after Jace went into heart failure and developed hydrops — a critical condition often considered fatal. Doctors prepared them for the worst, advising them to expect a stillbirth. But Jace fought back — within a week, the hydrops had resolved and his heart showed signs of strength. The doctors called it a miracle.

At 30 weeks, Abby was readmitted to the hospital due to dangerously high levels of amniotic fluid, which made it hard for her to breathe. Thankfully, she went in when she did, as they discovered she was in preterm labor and Jace was experiencing severe SVT (a dangerously fast heart rhythm). She has been hospitalized ever since.

Now at 33 weeks — and counting every day as a blessing — the goal is to reach 34 weeks before delivery. Labor has been stopped twice so far, but contractions come and go. Jace continues to struggle with SVT. Abby is on three strong medications, including one that must reach toxic levels to have any chance of helping Jace. Unfortunately, the meds haven’t worked quickly enough, and doctors had to inject Jace directly with Digoxin to slow his heart. They are now monitoring fluid that’s beginning to build around his heart — a serious concern that could lead back to hydrops. If that happens, they may be forced to deliver early, and outcomes at this stage are very uncertain.

Abby will remain in the hospital until delivery, which may mean a long stay. If Jace is strong enough at birth, he will still face a lengthy NICU stay, possible open-heart surgery, and potentially life support measures like ECMO.

This journey has taken a huge emotional and financial toll. Abby and Justin are doing everything they can to stay strong for Jace, while also caring for their two young children at home. With Abby unable to work and Justin missing time from work to be at the hospital, they are struggling to cover basic expenses — gas, food, bills, and childcare.

We are humbly asking for donations to help relieve some of this burden during such a critical time. Any amount helps. Please consider donating, sharing, and keeping this beautiful family in your prayers.

From the bottom of our hearts thank you for your support!
