Help Support Baby Elijah and the Skillman Family
Donation protected
On October 21, 2024—a day that should have been filled with joy as Jessica and Josh Skillman welcomed their beautiful son, Elijah, into the world while Josh celebrated his 30th birthday. Their daughter Grace was also thrilled to welcome her new baby brother. But their joy was quickly overshadowed by unexpected challenges. Elijah was born with shoulder dystocia, a difficult complication that resulted in a severe arm injury and a blood clot. Moments after birth, he was rushed to the NICU, where he has been under careful monitoring since.
In the days following, an MRI revealed that Elijah has suffered a brain injury, leading to seizures. Right now, the full extent of his condition and the path ahead remain uncertain, leaving Jessica, Josh, and their family facing both emotional and financial hardships.
As Elijah bravely fights through these early complications, the Skillman's need the support of their community. Jessica and Josh are focusing all their energy on being there for their new son and young daughter Grace, but the mounting medical expenses and lost wages have added stress to an already challenging time.
With your support, we hope to raise $10,000 to help them manage the costs of Elijah’s immediate care and the ongoing expenses his condition may require. Any contribution, big or small, will make a difference and offer relief to a family facing unthinkable challenges.
Thank you for your kindness, prayers, and support for this young family in their time of need. Let’s help them focus on what matters most: being there for baby Elijah.
